Too artistic for primetime TV.

So says user coolio421 of the following TV spot for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

I saw this on television today and I know what he/she means. The look and feel of the film is bizarre enough but the sublime use of Arcade Fire in the ad elevates it to another level (Even though the voiceover at the end more or less kills the atmosphere.) My anticipation for this film has been kicked up a notch.

Damn, the prospects of David Fincher and Danny Boyle attending the Oscars this year surely makes up for the rest of the typical Oscar-bait this season. I should be seeing Slumdog Millionaire in the next few days, followed by a review naturally.
